17:15 eighth layer

Note:
1. the more layers on, the more time to wait for the panel drying
2. once there are air bubbles when applying the gesso, try to remove them before getting dried; otherwise there will be little holes on the panel. And it would be really difficult to get rid of them in later procedures. In fact, it's useless to make later layers cover these holes. The only way for remedy is to sand heavily. In this sense, it is necessary to reconsider the adverb "lightly" in the original text. Even if there are no air bubbles, after the last layer we have to sand heavily for a long time to make the panel "milk/silver like".
