logwood put to soak in potash solution

Logwood + 200 ml tap + potash set to heat in 250 ml beaker

added alum 6g alum to 50ml water and put to heat in small beaker. Completely dissolved at 11:47 and put aside.

Logwood + 200 ml tap + potash at 69C

turned up hotplate from heat level 3 to 4

Boiling! Brought hotplate down to 1

boiled down to 150ml

took off heat

filtered solution in coffee filter

added alum solution to logwood +potash
Created dark effervescence. Dark purple color!
