Bio
I'm a native, third-generation New Yorker who
works
and
studies
at Columbia University. I have over a decade of experience as a professional software architect, designer, and developer. I am an active free/open source contributor whose technical interests include Linux, Python, Content Management, and Social Software. I am currently working on a doctoral degree in Communications where I am investigating the politics of memory (e.g. surveillance, transparency, and privacy) especially at the intersection with corruption in psychiatry and the pharmaceutical industry. I love to bike ride, travel, scuba dive, and play the bass. I earned a masters in Communication and Education at Teachers College (’07) and graduated from Princeton University (’97) with a BA Cum Laude in Philosophy, and certificates in Computer Science and Cognitive Studies.
